Two Ways to Live

1)      Faithful: just, loyal, wise, unproductive, righteous, trusting the Lord, successful in God’s eyes.

2)      Unfaithful: unjust, disloyal, foolish unproductive, wicked, fearful, missing the mark in God’s eyes.

The kingdom of heaven is like the parable of the faithful and unfaithful servants (Matthew 25: 14-30) The Lord give us gifts and talents and waits to see how we will use them. Every man receives a gift, no matter how great or small. What he does with it is up to him. If he takes it and uses it for God’s glory, God will give him more.  If he hides it, believing God is stingy with the gift, then God disciplines him. If he uses his God given talent for wickedness he will be punished. (Matthew 25:30)30And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The defeated life

The defeated person wakes up one morning and realizes that he has never lived. He has been afraid to step out and take chances, knowing that disappointment may lurk around the corner. The old expression nothing ventured, nothing gained never fazes him because he will never dream big dreams. He sticks to well-worn patterns that don’t challenge him, and in turn he is angry deep down with God. He feels he got the short end of the stick when God was passing out gifts, because he doesn’t believe he really has anything important to offer, and even if he did, he’d bury it under a bushel. He is the man who took the Lord’s talent and hid it instead of investing it in the kingdom, because he was fearful of losing it. After all, he might lose it on the way to the bank, and then where would he be? This man doesn’t comprehend the love of God.

Will you live in defeat?

You are in a battle for your life. Wake up! You are a winner! Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4) Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5They are of the world.

Get your life back on track by confessing your sins to God. Don’t be ashamed to get help. When geese are flying in formation, they let the old, the sick and the very young fly in the rear where the air resistance is much less. They constantly switch the ones flying in front where it is the hardest to fly. If we would recognize the great pressure on our leaders and relieve from time to time, we would not have sick and dying churches or burnt out leaders. Christians are to be overcomers, who take the land for Jesus Christ. The trumpet is sounding. Stand and fight the good fight.

Model of true servants of our God.

1)      Humility and obedience.

2)      Serving Him in submission.

3)      Serving others.

4)      Profitable servant.

5)      Using gifts and talents wisely.

6)      Allow the Holy Spirit to lead through seasons of repentance and lay bare soul.

7)      Walk in love.

8)      Time spent with the Father in prayer and meditation on the Word.

Take possession.

If you are a born-again believer, you belong to God. He tells you to take the land just as He told the Israelites they were owners of Canaan, but they had to fight to take it, and fight to keep possession. You must drive the demons out of your soulish realm and body. Vigilance is a necessary part of the Christian walk. In areas where you had trouble in the past , the enemy will attempt to regain access. He sometimes works this through discouragement and rejection. Temptations will come but we don’t have to take them. The kingdom of heaven is forcefully advancing and forceful men lay hold of it.

(Matthew 11:12) And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

Our members are at war within us. The war ultimately, is over our eternal salvation. If we walk in the Spirit, we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.

 .
(Galatians
5:17)17For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
