GOD is our GARDENER!
Yesterday,i had the chance to attend THE FEAST- a Praise and Worship activity led by Bo Sanchez...a well-known author and preacher in the Phils.The experience was beautiful and i was very glad God brought me in that spiritual gathering.I was teary-eyed in several parts of the entire preaching because God's words hit me deeply...It was all about GOD as our Gardener and PRUNING.
I am going through an emotional struggle these days...struggle to completely let go pain and hatred towards someone who left me wounded...struggle to learn to forgive that person sincerely and completely...I felt the preaching was perfect for me to help me overcome my struggle....The message is this;when a gardener prunes a tree,he cuts sick branches,.that is of course painful..but the purpose is to allow the tree to grow new and better branches..In the same way,GOD prunes us and when HE does it,we must not focus on the pain of pruning,instead we must think that there is a great purpose behind the pruning and we must set our eyes focused on the ''prize'' we get after. I have read in PURPOSE-DRIVEN LIFE this; ''your pain is temporary but your reward will be eternal.''..This is true indeed.
HOW DOES GOD PRUNE US? He does it in two ways; first: HE asks us to remove something in our lives.It could be hatred,pain,unforgiving attitude,resentment,materialism,lustful thoughts,addiction to something,and some more things which are destroying or distracting us...Second, He removes something in our lives without our permission. A death of loved one,failed or broken relationships,loss of job,sickness,etc...What does God remove from us?These are things or even people which/who are destroying or distracting us...God does not only cut ''sick branches'',He cuts ''healthy branches''too.WHY? Here's why; when a tree has too many branches and leaves,sunlight can't penetrate properly.In the same manner, when our lives are too crowded with too many good things;we lose the ability to focus on what is best..Having a good job,a luxurious life,fame and etc.is good. BUT,do we really need all of these things for us to enter God's Kingdom? We usually fail to realize that these things are just distracting us and caused us to lose FOCUS on GREATER THINGS.... All of these worldly lures are temporary,and these cannot give us a ''sure pass'' to spend our eternity with GOD....We don't actually need all of these things; that is why GOD REMOVES THEM IN OUR LIVES TO ENABLE US TO FOCUS ON THINGS WHICH LASTS ETERNALLY...God removes some good things in our lives to allow more space for the GREATER THINGS AND BLESSINGS coming! We need to shift our FOCUS; from good things to GREAT!
Right now,i am going through God's PRUNING.And yes,it's painful,very painful.BUT i know HE is working out something in my life. BUT i am trying to focus on my REWARD,rather than on the pain...One day,i know i would learn to completely let go all of the pain,hatred,fears and resentment that GOD is asking me to let go...GOD IS MY GARDENER AND HE WANTS ME TO BE FRUITFUL........

yes,u may post it...mas maganda na we share positive things like this...hope we can touch other people's lives...pwede rin po kau mg.attend ng ''the feast''..they have varied venues in metro manila...thank u and GOD BLESS!
